D'COS Anti-Aging Cream

Cellular renewal, taken seriously.

The most ambitious formula we make, and the one that most needs explaining. Retinol is the single best-evidenced anti-ageing active in dermatology, and it does the heavy lifting here. PDRN, exosomes and Matrixyl-3000 are newer, borrowed from aesthetic clinic practice, and each supports repair through a different route. CoQ-10 handles the oxidative side. It is a night cream, it takes months rather than weeks, and it demands daily sunscreen to be worth using at all.

What's inside, and why

Every active, at a dose that works.

Retinol
Vitamin A derivative
The most evidence-backed anti-ageing active there is. Increases cell turnover and supports collagen. Slowly, and with an adjustment period that is normal rather than a fault.
PDRN
Polydeoxyribonucleotide
Salmon-derived DNA fragments used in aesthetic medicine for tissue repair. Topically, it supports the skin's own regeneration signalling.
Exosomes
Cell signalling
Vesicles that carry repair instructions between cells. A genuinely new category, promising, and honestly still building its topical evidence base.
Matrixyl-3000 & CoQ-10
Peptides · Antioxidant
Matrixyl-3000 signals for collagen synthesis; CoQ-10 defends the cell's energy machinery against oxidative stress.

Full ingredient rationale for each active is on its own page. If a percentage isn't stated on a product you're considering, ours or anyone's, that's worth asking about.

How to use it

Simple, and done properly.

STEP 01

Nights only, and start slow

Two nights a week for the first fortnight, then build. Retinol rewards patience and punishes enthusiasm.

STEP 02

A pea-sized amount, on dry skin

Applied to damp skin, retinol penetrates faster and irritates more. Dry skin, and wait a few minutes after cleansing.

STEP 03

Sunscreen every morning, without exception

Retinol increases sun sensitivity. Using this without daily SPF is working against yourself.

Honest answers

The questions we actually get.

Will it make my skin peel?

It may, in the first few weeks: that's retinisation, not damage, and it settles. Build up slowly, moisturise well, and drop back a night if your skin gets angry rather than pushing through.

Are exosomes and PDRN proven topically?

Honestly: less than retinol is. Both have real clinical use in aesthetic medicine, mostly delivered in-clinic rather than through intact skin. We include them because the supporting evidence is genuine and growing, but retinol is the active doing the most work in this jar, and we'd rather say that than let the newer names carry the claim.

Can I use it with Melaphix?

Not on the same night. Both are meaningful actives and stacking them is how people damage their barrier. Alternate nights, and stop if skin feels tight or stings.
