Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
Several are formulated with sensitive skin in mind: the CeraniQ lotion and the hydrating bar say so on the carton. If your skin is currently reactive, start with those and hold off on actives entirely until it settles; that sequence matters more than which brand you choose. Check the ingredient list on the pack against anything you have reacted to before.
Do you use steroids or mercury?
No, in both cases, and not in anything we have ever made. Our full position is set out on our standards page.
Do you sell fairness creams?
No. We formulate for even tone, clarity and healthy skin, not for lightening skin colour, which is a different proposition that we don't participate in.
Are the products dermatologist tested?
Yes, and manufactured in facilities operating to Indian regulatory standards for cosmetics. Dermatologist tested means tested under dermatological supervision for tolerance, not that any individual product is right for every skin.
Do you test on animals?
No, and we don't commission third parties to on our behalf.
How long before I see results?
Hydration in days. Brightness and texture in three to four weeks. Pigmentation in six to twelve weeks, longer for melasma. Fine lines and firmness, three months and beyond. We'd rather state that plainly than promise a fortnight.
Can I use several DavaniQ actives together?
Yes, but sequenced rather than stacked. Antioxidants in the morning, corrective actives at night, one at a time, introduced a fortnight apart. Our routine page sets out how.
Is your sunscreen suitable for brown skin?
Both Photoactive formulas, the Hydra Gel and the Matte Gel, are developed and tested on Indian skin tones specifically, with no white cast, which is precisely where most global formulations fall short.
Can I use your products while pregnant?
Speak to your doctor first, particularly about the brightening range. Several actives commonly used for pigmentation are best avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding, and we'd rather you check than assume.
What's your shelf life?
The manufacture and expiry dates are printed on every carton: go by those rather than a general rule. Once opened, use a product within the period-after-opening symbol shown on the pack.
