CeraniQ Clo Facewash

A clean start, without the stripping.

Exfoliating cleansers usually go too hard: a few minutes of contact at high strength, then a face that feels tight for the rest of the day. This one runs gentle and daily instead: BHA to get inside oil-clogged pores, AHA to keep the surface clear and texture smooth, and vitamin E so the barrier is intact at the end of it. It reduces acne and the dark spots acne leaves behind, which in Indian skin is the longer half of the problem.

What's inside, and why

Every active, at a dose that works.

BHA
Oil-soluble exfoliant
Gets inside the pore itself to clear the plug that becomes a blackhead or a breakout.
AHA
Surface exfoliant
Loosens dead surface cells, so texture smooths and everything applied afterwards works better.
Vitamin E
Antioxidant
Protects the skin's lipids through a wash that would otherwise leave them exposed.

Full ingredient rationale for each active is on its own page. If a percentage isn't stated on a product you're considering, ours or anyone's, that's worth asking about.

How to use it

Simple, and done properly.

STEP 01

Once daily to start

Evenings. Move to twice daily only if your skin is genuinely comfortable at once.

STEP 02

Sixty seconds, lukewarm water

Massage properly: a five-second wash does nothing. Hot water is the enemy of a barrier.

STEP 03

Never with another acid on the same night

Cleanse, then treat, then moisturise. Stacking exfoliants is how people damage their skin.

Honest answers

The questions we actually get.

Can I use this and Melaphix?

Yes, on alternate evenings to begin with. Both work on surface turnover, and stacking them nightly from day one is more exfoliation than most skin wants.

Will it dry me out?

It shouldn't. If it does, you're using it too often, drop to every other night and let the barrier catch up.

Is it enough on its own for acne?

For mild congestion and blackheads, often yes. For persistent inflammatory acne, a cleanser is a supporting player. See a dermatologist for the lead role.
