Hyaluronic Acid

Draws water into the upper layers of skin and holds it there.

What it actually does

Hyaluronic acid binds many times its weight in water, which is why it appears in almost everything. The nuance most brands skip: molecular weight determines where it acts. High weight sits on the surface and smooths; low weight penetrates and hydrates deeper. A blend does both. In dry air or heavy air-conditioning, HA applied to dry skin can pull moisture out of skin rather than into it — always apply to damp skin and seal it.

The dose we use, and why

Concentration matters less than weight distribution and what you layer over it.

What it pairs with

With ceramides and an occlusive, which is what turns short-term plumping into lasting hydration.

Where to be careful

Don't apply to bone-dry skin in dry conditions without sealing it afterwards.

Formulated with it
